LW7 Spirit Brushless Flywheels

Spirit wheels, but light. These light weight (LW) wheels have a 7mm circular crush profile and are intended for Spirit/Hycon motor spacing of 51mm.

INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.

Moderate press fit on the older batches of Plus Motors. The easiest way to mount them on your motors is to line up the motor holes with the wheel holes and then to inch down using a longer screw (M3 x 14-16mm). Spin the screws in 2-3 rotations after you start to feel them pulling the wheel down, then press the wheels the rest of the way in.

Once the wheel has been pressed onto the motor, remove the longer screw and use M3x5 screws for permanent mounting.

Each wheel weighs 12g and the moment of intertia has been reduced 25% from the previous lightweight modified wheels from KuryKafe, making the moment of inertia for the LW7 wheels just 50% that of a solid wheel!
